Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data JUANA ROOTS collects when you use our website and app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect
- Account details: your name, and the email address (Google sign-in) or mobile number (OTP sign-in) you log in with. We never see or store your Google password.
- Optional profile details you choose to give: WhatsApp number, gender, usual size and what you shop for. We use these only to show relevant products and sizes.
- Delivery addresses you save, and the address used for each order.
- Order details: products, sizes, prices, coupons, points, delivery status and returns.
- Payment status from our payment partner. We do not receive or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, net-banking password or OTP.
- Basic technical data such as device type and pages visited, to keep the site working and secure.
Why we use it
- To create your account, take and deliver your orders, process returns and refunds.
- To send order and delivery updates by SMS, email or WhatsApp (WhatsApp only if you added and verified a WhatsApp number).
- To run JUANA Rewards points and coupons on your account.
- To prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet tax and legal requirements.
- To improve our products and the shopping experience. We may send offers only if you agree, and you can stop them at any time.
Who we share it with
We share only what each partner needs to do its job: our payment gateway (to take payment), courier partners (name, phone and address to deliver), SMS/WhatsApp/email providers (to send messages) and our cloud hosting and database providers. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data when required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax law requires (usually 8 years). When you delete your account we remove or anonymise your personal data, except what we must keep by law.
Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies and your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember your cart, favourites and saved items. We do not use them to track you on other websites.
Your rights
- See the personal data we hold about you, and correct or update it (most of it is in My Profile and Saved Addresses).
- Ask us to delete your account and personal data.
- Withdraw consent for optional uses such as offers at any time.
- Raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (below) and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access controls. Only authorised staff can see customer data, and phone numbers are partly hidden for staff who don't need them.
Children
Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 without a parent's consent.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will be shown on the website or app.
